the prophecies campaign was generic medieval themed, the factions campaign was east asian themed, and the nightfall campaign will be middle eastern themed.

my question is: what theme will guild wars 4 be?

(i think grecko-roman)

Most Likely Nothing Along the lines of what we ahev seen so far.

Remember, Nightfall is the End of the Prophecies Trilogy, C4 will have almost nothing to do with C1 C2 C3, Allthought it still happens within the GW universe, the story will be different. Hopefully they will Still have Devona, Cynn Aiden, Mehnlo, Eve for some familliarity.

Well, according to PC Gamer's interview with Jeff Strain, while Nightfall ties up loose ends, it isn't like the end of a trilogy. The lead story writer said there will be clues about the fourth episode in Nightfall, and to pay attention because you never know when an off-hand remark might spawn a new world.

Maybe some kind of Ice Age? or something along those lines, would tidy up everything by wiping out the old continents and installing new ones.

At the start of Prophcies they hadn't made any plans for a theme set of games, (which is why Prophcies was more of a "around the world" game). But then they thought that there has been a rise in trend for anything to do with Japan (which there has) so they mad factions. With Nightfall they merely thought they would carry it on a step futher as Factions was a success.

As fo the 4th...they are already working on it and perhaps have already finished it...I have sources(probably unrealiable) that tell me that the new one has no theme so to say. But the real thing that picked my curiousity today was this vid on youtube saying this is the new campaign...have a look yourself:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zl3Lw1yct80

In it, it says that you will have mounts and a dark/light force theme.
No idea if this id true. Go figure!

Ever considered there wont be a number4? fantasy swords&magic games are starting to wear a bit thin these days..

games such as EVE will be round for longer because EVE allows the gamers to create a "proper" atmosphere...they allow devious things to happen to keep the game lively and interesting GW wont allow that kind of enviroment.

There's already a thread somewhere about this...so far, this is what people are guessing...

Nordic/Viking type theme.
Aztec/Voodoo/Zulu/Indian type theme.
Spanish/Hispanic type theme.
Roman/Greek type theme.

There were more suggestions, but I cant think of them...if i can find the other thread, ill post it...

Actually GW wasnt generic medieval...only pre-searing was. The rest was actually very non european, swamps, jungles, deserts, ice tundra and a barren wasteland.
But yes the overrall theme felt kinda euro, simply because they wanted to put ppl in a familiar setting.

I have no idea about the 4th, but I would like to see Guild Wars Invasion. Something where its all about invading this other world, for reasons of good of course, free the occupants etc from evil.

Maybe have some underground cave areas, or have it send on a bamboo floating city in the middle of a tropical ocean :-o
